On the occasion of its 40th anniversary, Giunti Odeon is showing a completely restored version with 5.1 audio of Francesco Guccini: fra la Via Emilia e il West, the famous concert filmed in Bologna on 21 June 1984. The event at the cinema will be a unique appointment to let the great singer-songwriter's many fans relive on the big screen all the emotions of that extraordinary evening. The screening of the film will be preceded by an exclusive introduction made especially for the event by Francesco Guccini himself.
On 21 June 1984, Bologna was invaded by more than 160,000 fans who flocked to attend what turned out to be an unprecedented musical event for the time: the concert to celebrate 20 years of Francesco Guccini's musical activity. On stage in Piazza Maggiore, celebrating with him, were great friends and colleagues such as Lucio Dalla, Paolo Conte, I Nomadi, Pierangelo Bertoli and many others.
