At Giunti Odeon the special screening of an absolute cult film of the 1990s, directed by Danny Boyle and starring Ewan McGregor: Trainspotting, which for the occasion will be presented by the writer Irwine Welsh, from whose novel of the same name the film is based. Edinburgh: Mark Renton, petty thief by necessity, has chosen an honest and sincere drug addiction. Begbie, a violent, alcoholic psychopath scares even his friends, but wouldn't even dream of touching drugs. Spud, a desperate but lovable heroin addict. Sick Boy, a narcissist with encyclopaedic knowledge of Sean Connery who can keep his heroin addiction under control. Then there's Tommy who doesn't do drugs, is an outdoor hiking and Iggy Pop maniac. On the fringes of the story are the girls in the group. The film is banned for under 18s.
