To coincide with the exhibition dedicated to Alselm Kiefer currently running at Palazzo Strozzi, Giunti Odeon is offering the city a cinematic experience with the documentary film on the great German artist, directed by Wim Wenders.
The film recounts the life of the German painter and sculptor, his vision, his revolutionary style and his immense work exploring human existence and the cyclical nature of history. Wenders creates a unique cinematic experience that highlights Kiefer's language, which is strongly influenced by poetry, literature, philosophy, science, mythology and religion. Over a period of more than two years, the director returned in Kiefer's footsteps from his native Germany to his current home in France, retracing the stages of a journey behind the scenes of his art.
