GO returns with a new musical event!
On Sunday, June 15, Urban Cluster presents their debut album, Time Dancing on the Train to Baltimore. The work is inspired by a series of photographs taken during a train journey from Washington to Baltimore, evoking the emotions stirred by the changing landscapes through the seasons—told through the expressive power of music.

The Project:
Urban Cluster was born from the meeting of four musicians with very different backgrounds. Rino Trasi comes from the world of contemporary music and electronic experimentation; Emanuela Ferrari is a classical harpsichordist and pianist who later embraced jazz; Francesco Esposito is a clarinetist with years of orchestral experience and interpretative discipline; Paolo Ragni is a drummer with a wide-ranging background in rock, jazz, and commercial music.

Together, they have committed to a musical project that merges improvisation with diverse styles and approaches. While strongly rooted in jazz tradition, their work also draws from the polystylism of 20th-century music and contemporary classical trends, projecting them into the sonic worlds of rock and jazz. Urban Cluster's compositions are partly written, partly free-form, and partly based on cues that invite musical actions—often leading to surprising outcomes, even for the performers themselves. Their creative process results in intricate and deeply developed musical structures, telling long, emotionally rich stories in which every 20th-century language is employed for its expressive potential.
